Just got home from it. It was really good apart from the last question. How did everyone else go with Tas Jones?

    Exam 1 = Really Easy

    Exam 2= Really Long

Overall I found there was too much time pressure in Exam 2 which caused me to make lots of mistakes near the end which I wouldn’t normally make. I found the Tasmania Jones question slightly confusing but this may have been because I was panicking at the time. I was smooth-sailing up until near the end of the probability tennis balls question when I realised I was running out of time. Not sure what the A+ score range will be this year but most people in my school found it hard, but then again there are heaps of freaky kids who ace exams like this. Hoping for an A+ =)

    i thought it was okay,
although the last question was RIDICULOUS!

during reading time , when i looked the graph of the last question, i knew i’m not ,gonna touch it or get any mark from it!

the rest was alright, basic stuff, straightforward + multiple choices were pretty much the same as last yr. i wasn’t sure of 4,5 of them…

    Over over over!!!!!

multiple choice was ok…the rest was pretty bad especially then end question which i did not answere at all

I think I would have got about 65% correct maybe, anyone know if that would be enough for a B? If that last question wasn’t worded so confusingly..

Im not the best at methods. i only need a 20 study score in methods to to what i need to do in the future, but i reckon i got it. it was too hard. multi choice is what made me pass. the tasmania jones questions suck! i hate tasmania

    tasmania jones was easy as.
the whole extended response was easy except for two of the probability bits, but thats coz i fell asleep in class for most of term 3.
the multi choice was mostly done on the calculator

Good thing the majority of the Tasmania Jones questions were only one-markers. The first “show-that” question stumped me for some reason. Were we just supposed to say h=8 and r=4, so therefore h=2r, because that’s really corny if we were. Anyone else get h^3/27 for the equation? I sure hope so…

Oh God, it was awful. I really just hope that everyone else in the state completely screwed it sideways. I repeated year 12, so I did the exam last year and got a study score of 22 and I knew NOTHING. The fact that this year I got the maths excellence award and *thought* I was really prepared is my only comfort. I will be stoked if I get a study score of 30. I mean really stoked. About what percentage do you need to get a B?

i thought it was quite hard and long.
i looked at the clock and it was already 1 and i was like CRAP!

but got through it. the last question took me a while to nut out but i eventually got it. glad a lot of them were only 1/2 markers.

the second half of the train question also took me a little while to figure out…mainly coz i was under pressure to finish.

i found the multiple choice not as hard as previous years. the whole exam was different i think from previous years.

exam one was annoying coz a lot of questions were 3/4 marks. but it was definitely easier than i expected.

id be stoked with a 33 study score!!!

exam 1 was quite easy, exam two was fairly good, except the train question, tasmania jones question was easiest on paper.

did anyone write down their answers for the multiple choice questions on their formula sheet? If so please post them on here just so i can compare and see how well i went :)

I found the last question really hard. I left about 6 marks worth blank, which was upsetting. I don’t know why but I just couldn’t do it!
I’ve been getting A+s in all my SACs, but now I’m hoping I get a study score of above 30 :\

Finished with 30 mins to spare.

Relatively happy, though made little stupid errors such as height/depth 800m, the CAN of 4 balls (3cii), and the train braking[took reference from the obstruction on the tracks]. Lost 7 marks…

Tasmania Jones did nothing how lame , the actual question was quite good, I certainly have never seen anything like it, will definitely separate students.
