Also to put it straight i am a different daniel from about 8 or so comments up, the last 2 daniel comments are mine. But man that physics exam had way too many explanation questions and they were usually 3 4 mark questions, good way to lose a lot of marks

@Paul, vcaa are very well known of putting excess information into questions to make people over think and to trick them.

  5. For the materials and structures question no. 1, i thought it was just Tan45 Multiplied by 100N. Tan 45 is 1 so the answer would be 100N. Yet it can’t be in tension???

work is the energy put into the object and since we know the block left the spring with 5.4j of kinetic energy this is also the amount of work done on it

  7. @ Anna
    It was 4 v and 2000 ohms

  8. Does anyone have a link to the exam paper??

    For Question one structures
    you had to use triganometry
with the angle of 45 to find
the tention in the pole asuming
    the ropes were 100N
Then you had to times the anser by
three, cause there was three ropes.

My mother is one of the assessors and she gave me the following answers:

Newton’s second law was not even in the exam. The rope question didn’t even involve that. The answer was 1.24 ms^-3 shrooms.

How did your cube rooting go?

Oh yeah true when figurintg out the luxamation did one have to first find the angle between the chimney and roof to determine the centrefugal force of the smoke pertuding through the angular momentum. Yeah true guys thats what my mum said she an asseror dont you know.

But dude what happened to the other 14 ropes that were attacthed from the truck to the log to the sun to the head assesor, we had a full on re enactment of the question in our exam. Much handier to see all the forces at play!!

Im just a curly headed fellow, like our good physics friend NUUTAN, my mums and assesor eat a bag of joules, electricity that is!

50 in physics here we come!! seacrest out!!!

I am the king of physics. I know that i will get a 50. Its not even a question in my mind. I finished with half an hour spare, so i checked my answers at least 5 times. Enjoy seeing my name in the papers suckers!!

  12. @ Avagadro . I am aware there were 3 ropes, i thought that part of the question did not need to be explained…

Hat to play the role of a cynic, But i’m gonna laugh soooooo hard if you dont get a 50.

    some answers if your interested

@ chris, yes the block had 5.4 J of kinetic energy but Work equals the force of FRICTION on an object and since it as a frictionless surface, no energy was lost hence no work was done. Without friction, air resistane or any opposing force you’re looking at inertia. If the block was in space it would continue to travel at the speed without losing any kinetic energy.
