Hi all,
Congratulations on finishing the Unit 3 VCE Environmental Science exam for 2012. What did you think of the paper? What was hard? What was easy? How do you think you went?
Let us know your thoughts and comments below (please keep them clean – all comments are moderated anyway!)…cheers

hey
just finished it.
pretty easy but I reckon i just answered the questions the wrong way. would be lucky to get 60-70 out of 90 haha
is there anywhere the answers would be published?
The exam wasn’t too hard, but it was long and some of the marks didn’t correlate with the questions and the number of lines given. Due to the workload, I don’t think I completed the short answer questions with enough depth, but overall it was pretty solid. In reading time I freaked out about the last question, considering we hadn’t covered that particular index in class, but managed to get through it.
Talk about rushed though! Most people in my class didn’t get the whole exam finished, but luckily I did, though definitely not to the best of my ability. Here’s to hoping I get semi-decent marks.
Not too bad. The first question (about accessibility, how long the fuels available etc. – that was on the fossil fuel source right?! freaking out I mixed them up!
No question, the easiest of the exams from the 2005-2012 study design. My whole cohort finished with heaps of time. When do the results come out? And where can we find the suggested answers?
I nailed the exam, sorry guys but I think I will get the only 50 in the state. It was so easy, and I am the best at my school
I concur with Brad; is there anywhere to access an exam
I disagree with you “Nick B” – I will get the only 50 in the state. I absolutely destroyed the exam, didn’t drop a mark.
Nick B, I don’t know who you think you are, but last year i pulled a 50 in PE and nothing will stop me from doing it again, this year in enviro.
Sorry haters but the 50′s mine.
Im 1st in my cohort. They call me number one
After 25 practice exams and over 20 hours with my tutor/sister (the only recipient of a 50 in Environmental Science in 2009) I am safe to say that the 50 is mine. Also I went through my exam with the former head examiner and he is convinced that I didn’t lose a mark. By the way Chris Lam a 50 in PE is easy and nothing to gloat about. As for you Nick B if I were you I wouldn’t be that confident.
Thought the exam was pretty tough, had a bit of content that wasn’t covered in depth in previous years so I struggle a bit. I think I’m looking at a study score of around 25 after that exam!!!
Still a bit confused about Questions 1 and 2 of the Multi-choice.
Question 1 was asking which was a ‘Fossil Fuel’ and the options were:
Coal
Natural Gas
Petrol
Uranium
All of these are fossil fuels though, so I think VCAA made a big mistake on that question! And also Question 2, the ice-pack question, was that reaction Exothermic or Endothermic???
I thought the exam was fair, but a tag to long. One or two tricky questions due to wording. Last question appear hard but was easy to work out if you did not stress and had time.
I thought the exam was similar, but it allowed enough extra scope for it to be abit different to previous years. I liked the way it was set out and the amount of marks allocated to different things. People in my class finished with about five minutes to go and we all did our best and that’s all any of us can do. Good luck everyone!
a bit of a late reply but it was very very long, didnt finish it and resulted in a medium to high mark. The time flew by especially when i used my time as effectively as i could. overall it was a bit worrying but got a fairly descent mark out of it.
